Basirat Rufai

B.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Ibadan 2020

Basirat was born in Nigeria, where she completed her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Ibadan. After college, she worked as an intern at a federal medical center where she was able to provide pharmaceutical care to patients. With her great passion for research, she enrolled in the Ph.D. program at the Center for Computational and Integrative Biology (CCIB) at Rutgers University-Camden. Her research interests include organometallic chemistry and computational catalysis. Outside the lab, she enjoys reading books and watching movies

Lauren Baltera

First year M.S. Candidate in Chemistry and Molecular Technology

Lauren is from Berlin, NJ and received her B.S. in Chemistry and Molecular Biology from Stockton University.  Her research at Stockton focused on Ruthenium (II) Complexes of Tetradentate Thioether Ligands. Additionally, she worked as a Chemistry tutor on campus for 2 years and completed an internship at Johnson Matthey, a precious metals refinery, as a Quality Control Chemist.  After graduation she worked for Stockton University as a Lab Technician and currently works for Rutgers as a Lab Assistant. In her free time Lauren enjoys spending time at the beach tanning or in the mountains skiing.

Yash Tripathi

First year M.S. Candidate in Chemistry and Molecular Technology

Yash was born in Varanasi and grew up there. Yash received his BE in Chemical Engineering at the Institute of Engineering and Technology, Lucknow, in 2023. After his bachelor's, Yash completed his MS-Research from IIT Kanpur in the year 2025. Before joining the group, Yash conducted research in Rheological Behavior of Sodium Palmitate Aqueous Solutions at IIT Kanpur.
